Kearsaga carries on a proud tradition that began aboard the USS Kearsarge (CV-33) in 1945, when John W. Verbist’s winning submission gave the ship’s weekly publication its memorable name. In 1992, the Kearsarge Association adopted “Kearsaga” for our member newsletter to honor that original spirit of camaraderie and shared experiences.
Today, Kearsaga remains your gateway to all things Kearsarge: stories, photos, event updates, and reflections from fellow shipmates. Whether you served aboard the Kearsarge or share a passion for naval history, Kearsaga fosters a sense of connection to our storied past, while keeping us anchored in the present. Welcome aboard!
